Lafayette-based business Awardmaster has been named the Small and Emerging Business of the Year by Louisiana Economic Development (LED) at the 2025 Spotlight Louisiana Awards—an honor that shines a spotlight on decades of hard work, innovation, and community commitment.
Held at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center, the Spotlight Louisiana Awards brought together standout entrepreneurs from across the state to celebrate the power of small business and the bold spirit of innovation driving Louisiana’s economy forward. Among those honored, Awardmaster stood out for its remarkable growth, creative evolution, and consistent investment in community connection.
Founded nearly 50 years ago, Awardmaster has long been known as Acadiana’s trusted source for meaningful recognition—offering everything from classic trophies to custom corporate awards and personalized gifts. But beyond the products, it’s the heart behind the business that truly sets it apart.
“Receiving this award fills us with an overwhelming sense of gratitude,” shared owners Adam and Sarah Lopez. “It’s a reminder that when purpose meets passion, amazing things happen.”
The Small and Emerging Business of the Year award is presented to businesses within LED’s Louisiana Growth Network—a statewide support initiative that helps entrepreneurs scale through capital, coaching, and collaboration. With small businesses accounting for 99.5% of Louisiana’s businesses and generating nearly $5 billion in annual sales, the honor is both meaningful and competitive.
Awardmaster's win reflects its commitment to both craft and community.
“What we love most about doing business in Louisiana is the strong sense of community and collaboration,” said the Lopezes. “Our state is rich in culture, heritage, and connection—which aligns beautifully with our mission of recognizing what matters.”
That mission has driven Awardmaster’s steady evolution, including embracing new technologies, expanding creative offerings, and continuously finding ways to serve both individual customers and businesses large and small. From local sports leagues to Fortune 500 companies, Awardmaster has built a reputation for celebrating life’s milestones with care and intention.
Still, like any business journey, theirs hasn’t been without its challenges. And their advice to fellow entrepreneurs is simple, yet profound: “If we could offer one piece of advice to fellow entrepreneurs, it would be to stay anchored in your ‘why’,” the Lopezes emphasized. “When the storms of business come (and they will), your purpose will keep you steady and your community will carry you forward.”
Awardmaster’s recognition at the Spotlight Louisiana Awards is a proud moment—not just for the company, but for the Lafayette community that has supported them every step of the way. It’s also a celebration of what’s possible when business owners lead with passion, purpose, and a deep appreciation for the people they serve.
